Because of its innovative formulation, there is a decreased chance of pigment irregularities meaning it can be used on all skin types, including darker skin.

It is recommended for optimal, cumulative improvements that a course of 3 treatments be carried out between 4-8 week intervals to achieve greater results.

Is there any skin preparation required before the Prodigy P2 Peel?
A good daily skincare routine is important to obtain the best results from any chemical peel, using active skincare products is most beneficial as this will give better longer-term skin results. Skin preparation skincare includes a pH balanced Cleanser, Hydrating product/Moisturiser, and daily sunscreen SPF – if pigmentation is the main concern then a specialist pigment serum is required, options can be discussed at your consultation. For skin types Fitzpatrick 4-6 (darker skin types) it is important to include a specialist tyrosinase inhibitor serum into your skin routine for 3-6 weeks prior to Prodigy P2 Peel, this will be advised at your consultation and dependent on various factors.

It is mandatory to wear a dedicated face daily sunscreen SPF every day post-treatment, and no exposure to the sun or sunbeds for 4 weeks following the chemical peel. Full pre-treatment and post-treatment advice and aftercare will be given at the consultation.

Is there any downtime with the Prodigy Chemical Peel?
The skin may be a little red post-treatment though this will disappear within an hour or two. Some clients may experience some mild dryness, flaking, or peeling of the skin up to 3-7 days post-peel. Everyone responds differently to each treatment, if you do or don’t experience visible flaking/peeling does not relate to whether the treatment has been successful or not.

Essential aftercare and skincare advice will be given at the consultation/treatment.
